FUNCTIONS OF THE DIRECTORATE(Legislative Drafting)

Our functions are to -

  • Scrutinize and Draft proposed
    • Bills for O/M/A’s (Offices, Ministries and Agencies)
    • Proclamations for the President of the Republic of Namibia
    • Regulations, Rules and other Regulatory measures for O/M/A’s and certain Statutory Bodies
    • Administrative Notices for O/M/A’s
  • Advise O/M/A’s and the Cabinet Committee on Legislation in their legislative capacity
  • Publish legislation and other legal instruments in the Government Gazette
